What it is
Manganese solubilizing bacteria (MSB) are specialized microorganisms that enhance the availability of manganese (Mn) in the soil. Manganese is an essential micronutrient for plants, playing a critical role in photosynthesis, enzyme activation, and defense against oxidative stress. However, manganese in many soils exists in insoluble forms that are not readily available to plants. MSB convert these insoluble forms into soluble manganese that plants can absorb and utilize.
