What it is
Potash solubilizing bacteria (PSB) are a group of beneficial microorganisms that enhance the availability of potassium in the soil. Potassium is a vital nutrient for plants, essential for various physiological processes such as enzyme activation, photosynthesis, protein synthesis, and water regulation. However, a significant portion of soil potassium is present in insoluble forms that plants cannot readily absorb. PSB convert these insoluble forms into soluble potassium that plants can utilize.
