Potash Solubilizing Bacteria

Potash Solubilizing Bacteria convert insoluble potassium compounds in the soil into forms that plants can absorb, improving potassium availability and supporting plant metabolic processes.

What it is

Potash solubilizing bacteria (PSB) are a group of beneficial microorganisms that enhance the availability of potassium in the soil. Potassium is a vital nutrient for plants, essential for various physiological processes such as enzyme activation, photosynthesis, protein synthesis, and water regulation. However, a significant portion of soil potassium is present in insoluble forms that plants cannot readily absorb. PSB convert these insoluble forms into soluble potassium that plants can utilize.
